Lectures on the use of Flying Sensors

Together with FutureWater, HiView was invited by the IHE Delft Institute for Water Education, which partners with UNESCO, to host guest lectures on the use of drones for agricultural applications. As part of their master degree, around 10 students were taught on the theory behind flying sensors (also known as drones), the different types of applications and how to use them in an agricultural setting.
Nature Reserves Drenthe Repeat Monitoring

As part of efforts to improve the conditions to conserve nature reserves in Drenthe, HiView was requested to monitor and map vegetation development. HiView monitored the region in 2018 as well, which made this mission very insightful as it showed the development of the vegetation over time.

In April-May 2020 HiView has performed flight missions and image processing for Natuurmonumenten, the biggest nature conservation association in the Netherlands. The objective was to map sand shifts after HiView conducted initial flights in 2016.

Operator training successfully completed in Manica, Mozambique In November 2019 HiView and its partners have completed the first phase of the Incorporating Flying Sensors in NCBA Clusa’s project in Manica, Mozambique.
Drones for Nature Conservation - Demo Day

During the spring of 2019, HiView participated in a Drone Demo day organized by The Dutch Forest and Nature reserve owners association (VBNE).
SMART-WADI Project: Drone Images for Farms

In April 2019, HiView travelled to Mashhad, Iran, to undertake a series of key activities related to the SMART-WADI project (SMART Water Decisions for Iran) with the main goal of testing drone flights and imagery recovery from agricultural fields.
